Report on the Proposals (A9-0337/2023):
Text of the Resolution of 22 November 2023 on the proposals:
The loss of nation states’ sovereignty is not exagerated. It amounts to a constitutional coup, aiming to create a ‘United States of Europe’, in which member states are mere regions.
Proposals include:
President of the European Union (in place of President of the Comission)
Euro is the mandatory currency
equality ‘between women and men’ changed to ‘gender’ equality
abandoning the unanimity principle in votes in the EU Council in 65 areas and transferring competencies from the member states to the EU level
elimination of the veto right in 63 cases
voting that now requires qualified majority reduced to simple majority
the European Commission would be reduced to 15 individuals, meaning that not every member state would have its own commissioner
procedure for suspending the rights of those member states that violate “EU values,” such as the rule of law, democracy, freedom, human rights, equality, gender, individual member states cannot protest against actions that do not serve their citizens and are beneficial to other member states
member states will lose control over the taxes and education
This constitutional coup has to be exposed, understood and immediately stopped.
People of the EU member states should question their representative MEP’s who voted for these amendments, whose interests they represent. It is crystal clear they do not represent them.
I argue that such voting amounts to treason. These people must be held accountable.
